Reducing the environmental footprint is achieved by the short distance between all the involved activities all along the production procedure of the milk and the dairy products. As shown in the map, the livestock holdings are located in a small distance (smaller than 3 km) from the pastures and the agricultural holdings that produce feed while the dairies in which they deliver the milk are located in a distance smaller than 30 km. In this context pollutant emissions (like CO2-carbon dioxide) due to movement and transfer are relatively low. TTL proves through the guarantee system that has developed that the production of dairy products of low environmental footprint is ensured.
